If you're new to origin trials, these are time-limited programs open to all developers, offering early access to experimental platform features. While there might be usage limits, developers can integrate these features for live testing, gathering user feedback, with the goal of informing iterations towards a full launch.

Example use cases

The Prompt API is a multimodal API that accepts text, image, and audio inputs. Read the Prompt API documentation for example code.

Text input

  • Help the user digest information, for example, by letting them ask questions about hotel reviews to highlight only those that mention the Wi-Fi.
  • Enrich user-generated content with structured data, for example, by suggesting a star-rating based on a review.

Image input

  • Classify images, for example, to detect if a provided image likely depicts an ID or passport document before uploading the image data for manual verification.
  • Suggest alternative text, for example, in a blogging platform where users can add images to their blog posts.

Audio input

  • Transcribe audio, for example, to convert audio messages in an end-to-end encrypted chat application to text.
  • Process audio data, for example, to filter out live recordings from a music collection.
